Re: Using saxon:assign and testing content of variable

2005-09-21 02:09:26

I thought that a count($pageNumber) would have returned 3 for the 3 nodes I
added to the variable, instead I get a consistent 1.

If you set a variable with content rather that a select element it
always makes a result tree fragment that corresponds to a node set with
one node, a document node / perhaps you want to count $pageNumber/*
or $pageNumber//* or something?

Do you _really_ need to use saxon:assign?
