But the xslt validator says that this is not valid...:( how can i do that??
It's not "not valid" It's not well formed: XMl attributes can not
contain element markup, so it will be rejected by any XML parser before
validation is attempted.
This is a FAQ:
<a href="{concat(substring-first(var1,'.'),'.html')}"> link1 </a>
Attribute value templates ( {...} syntax mean essentially the same thing
as value-of and exist exactly because you can't use elemehts in
attributes. Note you don't need use a variable.
