I've taken a look at Jenni
Tennison's help page on creating a graph using SVG format, but is
there
an easier way to create a line graph through xsl??
I still think SVG is your best bet.
If I recall correctly, the complexity in Jenni Tennison's SVG material has
to do with the requirement for producing SVG from XML within a browser.
If you remove this requirement, i.e., first produce the SVG externally
through XSL, then look at it with a browser, things become easier: for a
good introduction to the generation of SVG graphics through XSL, with decent
examples, please read the article on Graphical Stylesheets by P. Mansfield
