Re: contains() function to search general in xslt

contains() expects a string value as the first argument.
but you have given it a node set:
contains(child::Box/@name,

whenever you do that (in XSLt1) it uses the first node in document
order, which is <Box name="header1"> in your case.

You want test="Box/@name[contains(.,'Application')]"

so that your node set is just the node you want to test.

or perhaps really you mean to test for string equality rather than just
substring, so

test="Box/@name='Application'"
