Another alternative that may be available to you: use XSLT 2.0.
Personally I would like to get into XSLT 2.0, but this is a whole other story.
I can see there is a lot on going debate about Microsoft not
supporting this natively, afaik only Saxon supports XSLT 2.0 - but
please enlighten me if I am wrong.
Are there any other XSLT processors there supports v 2.0?
