No, "/" is never an element. It is the _parent_ of the top most
element and it represents the whole document.
I was kind of hoping someone else would take the time to correct my
thinkos, but once again, your comprehensive explanation makes things a
whole lot clearer. I wonder how you find the time to get anything
else done! I really am getting there now. A big thank you for your
