I looked around for some calendar / date / functions in XSL,
but there seems nothing to be in the standard?
"The standard" is now XSLT 2.0, which has a wide range of calendar and date
functions.
The previous standard, XSLT 1.0, has very little; but there are third party
libraries at www.exslt.org which are built in to a number of 1.0 products.
