I thought data-type and order attributes were attribute value
templates?
yes
but if the error is valid, what do I have wrong?
On the face of it what's wrong is that $keys/k[1]/@type has a string
value that is something other than "text" or "number" (or QName but not
NCName) But you don't say what value it does have.
