[xsl] &lt; to < while preserving &amp;

Hello,

<title>Me &amp; You &lt;i&gt;together&lt;/i&gt;</title>

I tried my best with character-maps to get from the above
XML the following HTML:

<h3>Me &amp; You <i>together</i></h3>

Is this possible? And how could it be done?
