As I started saying, "This thread has been interesting to follow".
I will update my tutorial, "Identity Template: xsl:copy with
recursion", http://www.xmlplease.com/xsltidentity, making use of the
proposal to better explain what the "identity template" short hand
stands for.
But it is still the short version I am going to use just like I use *
and @*. The short version is also nice because it works both in XSLT
1.0 and XSLT 2.0.
