If you get a blank page, I suspect the error doesn't have to do with
XSLT or EXSLT. Try on the command line:
java -jar path/to/xalan.jar -xsl alexcontini.xsl -in any.xml
That should work. And then maybe there is better support at
http://cocoon.apache.org/.
