you can run web-service on same machine (for manipulation with files)
and call this service from xslt

for example doc('/move-file.action?from=here&to=here')

Not at all easily, because XSLT is the wrong tool for manipulating
HTML

Ken has of course misspelled "with flair" as "very labouriously" and
"fun" as "wrong".
