Whoo-hoo! Thank you to both Markus and Michael. As soon as I saw the
code you guys posted, I figured out what I had done wrong when I had
tried to create a variable of sorted values and iterate over that.

And yes, Markus is correct that those are the names the World
Meteorological Organization has established for storms in the
Atlantic in 2010 (I live < 40 km from the Atlantic :-).
