I noticed that XALAN 2.7.1 makes a difference between
<when>
x
</when>
(Result includes line breaks and blanks)
and
<when>
<xsl:text>x</xsl:text>
</when>
(Result includes only 'x' wihout breaks or blanks).
Is that a bug or is that wanted behaviour?
I think white space only text nodes in a stylesheet are supposed to get
stripped (unless they are inside of xsl:text of course) so the behaviour
is fine (http://www.w3.org/TR/xslt#strip)
