Hi Martin,
Although the expressions looks as though it should work, it does not produce
the 'ch' file and does produce a lot of accented letter files that should
have been combined. My peculiar:
<xsl:for-each-group select="Word" group-by="if
(lower-case(substring(@word,1,2)) eq 'ch') then 'ch' else
lower-case(substring(@word,1,1))">
actually does work.
Your suggestion would have been far simpler, though.
