Hello,

Thanks for the tip.

I will look at it.

May I - with all due respect - suggest that you google for some
website containing an XSLT tutorial? The way you are progressing
toward a solution will have Tamara outgrow you before you are done ;-)

Roelof, I heartily agree with Wolfgang that spending some time with
some XSLT instruction will help you a lot and reduce the number of
questions you have.

At http://ude.my/t37DVX I have posted five hours of free video
instruction on XSLT. You do not need to create an account to watch
the free content. I've marked the 30 portions that are free ... the
other 41 portions must be paid for. In the total of 24 hours I cover
every element, every attribute and every function of XSLT and XPath
(versions 1.0 and 2.0). I've marked the initial two modules, the
initial lecture of the other modules, and all of the annexes as free content.

In Module 1 Lesson 1 (lecture 2) I introduce the XSLT process at
around the 47 minute mark.

In Module 2 Lesson 2 (lecture 3) I introduce the concepts of push and
pull in XSLT transformations at around the 16 minute mark.

In Module 2 Lesson 4 I walk through a number of examples.

Do you think I can better goto the library and looking for a good
xslt book or is there a site where I can learn everything

with exercises so I can see if I understand it right.

The student exercises in the video are only available if you buy the
remaining 19 hours of the online class (I recently reduced the price
of buying the class as a temporary measure to attract year-end
budgets) or if you buy the DVD-ROM from our web site. I supply
answers to all exercises as part of the exercise environment, and in
the lectures I walk through the development of the answers.

There is also a student area on the web site where you can post
questions about the class that I will answer. I have an area on my
web site where buyers of the DVD-ROM or our books can ask questions
that I will answer.

I hope you and other readers find this useful.

p.s. at the right edge of the landing page for my video training
class you can see a summary of my qualifications for writing and
delivering the training material

p.p.s. I also have the privilege of traveling the world to teach this
and other XML-related classes if you have colleagues who would band
together to bring me in to teach
