The talk I gave was specific to making analysis of guaranteed streamable
constructs easier by using 10 rules of thumb for XSLT stylesheet programmers.
These rules cover between 80 and 100% of your needs, depending on the
complexity of your scenario. For those cases that are not covered, my paper
contains a full flowchart of all steps of guaranteed streamability analysis
(and my slides contain an instructional example of how to use them).
The proceedings are freely available at http://xmlprague.cz (proceedings of
2014, PDF is currently linked from the homepage, but this will change over
time). The Powerpoint slides and a one-page version of a flowchart that can be
used for understanding streamability (a work in progress as long as the
standard is not finalized) will remain available through
http://exselt.net/papers.
A video is indeed available at the link Gerrit gave, you'll have to scroll to
approx. two-thirds forward for mine and Michael Kay's talk, possibly a video of
this particular talk will be made available on Youtube.
Hope they are of some help to anybody trying out streaming. Comments, also
offlist, are welcome, I intend to continuously improve the set of rules of
thumb and the flowchart.
Cheers,
Abel

Subject: Re: [xsl] XSLT Streaming Terminology: Roaming
Hi Roger,
We are currently roaming Prague. Abel Braaksma an Michael Kay are
presenting XSLT streaming. Maybe you’ll find an answer by listening to
the YouTube stream, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAUPzeeW4Xg

Hi Folks,
The XSLT 3.0 specification defines roaming like so:
Roaming: indicates that the nodes returned
by an expression could be anywhere in the
tree. For example, expressions using the axis
steps following or preceding will typically be
roaming.
