Assuming 'q' means '1' and 'w' means '2' ..... (mis-hitting qwerty keyboard).

This makes the XSLT 2 version unsuitable for me as I am encountering this issue 
while doing Epub generation.
Epub mandates a certain date format (yyyy-mm-mm) in certain elements in the 
output.  As my incoming dates are in different formats I am here

The XSLT w stylesheets do not support all the formats the XSLT q package does 
so this may not be an option. In particular XSLT 2 does not support the 
generation of ePub books
