What I like about Dimitres solution is that we stay with the template
paradigm and omit the for loop.
The use of the mode attribute to partially overwrite the string template
is nice.



my intuition, would have been to go with a loop (sometimes, I still think
procedurally amidst XSLT's template paradigm). Use of modes, is unique to
Dimitre's solution (but a good choice it seems).
