How about this one:
SSP exists so that receivers can make better decisions about
handling their incoming mail.
Corollary:
Information not useful to receivers doesn't belong in SSP.
These seem obvious to me, but based on some other correspondence,
they're not obvious to everyone.
I think a more fundamental question is who the consumers of SSP information
are. I think that everybody agrees that DKIM receivers are an important
constituent, but are they the only ones? It doesn't seem very hard to
envision
other consumers.
