I think we just got lucky. We did a lot of research on other things,
but I can't recall anyone doing any research on this.
It's certainly the case that DK has reaped many benefits from SPF - if for no
other reason than they first explored and exposed the many nooks and crannies
wrt DNS serving and client-side implementations that most people were un-aware
of, until recently.
