Not really.

By the IESG's own admission, the current proposal is only partial.  It
does not fully attend to the concerns the IESG has nor does it fully
resolve any of the concerns.  As such it appears to represent a tactical
response, albeit with strategic implications.  As proposed, it has a bit
of ready-fire-aim quality to it.

It would be far more productive for the IESG to take the requisite time
to formulate a complete proposal, including careful justification for
whatever constitutes the full set of changes in mind.  That will permit
integrated analysis and discussion, rather than the piecemeal kind
currently happening.

Making these sorts of deeper and more substantial organizational changes
to the IESG is not made easier or hard by having one fewer or more ADs.

On the other hand, decrementally dropping an AD position rather suddenly
like this has the aura of making significant organizational change but
without a real opportunity for considering implications.
