Fetchmail considers "via localhost" to be a special case, and treats it
differently: it does a DNS lookup in the poll host (which should be a label,
not a host) instead of using the via-supplied host "localhost".
The workaround is quite simple: use "via localhost." (notice the dot).
This is not very user-friedly however, and the manpage does imply that such
behaviour should only happen for multidrop mode.
The attached patch will fix via so that "via localhost" means exactly that
UNLESS in multidrop mode... just like the manpage says.
