mm...i'll try that....but what happens if i happen to want ssl support? (i
specify --with-ssl=blah) and it'll give me same error of the undefined
variables

configure works, but make doesnt, i have installed flex as well to solve an
earlier lex problem, but this one is new..(i did configure with no other
fancy tags attached)..any help would be appreciated
