After upgrading to Fetchmail 5.8.5 from Fetchmail 5.1.0, email
downloads are *very* slow! Sendmail is adjusted to handle heavy
email loads.
Is the problem related to more information in the headers;
therefore, bandwidth is loaded with more traffic, the introduction
of /etc/sysconfig/fetchmail with the SERVICE_RUN_NICE_LEVEL="+5"
setting, the introduction of ssh or ssl, or something else?
I don't think there have been any recent changes to fetchmail that could
seriously hurt performance.
