The UIDL feature is described as follows:
-U, --uidl
(Keyword: uidl) Force UIDL use (effective only with
POP3). Force client-side tracking of ?newness? of
messages (UIDL stands for ??unique ID listing?? and is
described in RFC1725). Use with ?keep? to use a
mailbox as a baby news drop for a group of users.
My question is - is there any way to use an IMAP
mailbox so that several users/devices can access it
and to all of them the message would look 'new'? For
instance, I may want to take a quick look at the
messages at home but I am really going to process them
at work so I want only the email client at work to
mark them as read, 'fetchmail' at home should keep the
messages on the server and marked 'unseen'.
