Why is this a moderated list?
I don't care if I get about 5% spam.
However some of us do care if we get spam, and maybe the percentage isn't as
low as 5% (though only ESR could tell us).
I'll admit that personally the moderation is slightly annoying - messages
tend to come in groups. However it's either that or only people who've
subscribed can post to the list. Maybe a middle ground - if you've
subscribed you can email the list direct, otherwise you get moderated?
