[fetchmail]help with configuration

I am  novice at unix trying to learn and trying to install fetchmail on 
my machine.  when I start fetch mail I get and error and I am not sure 
what it means could some on please help.
I am using mac os x version 10.1 with this  config file


set syslog
set daemon 60

poll mail.mac.com  protocol pop3
         user "xxxx", with  password "xxxx" is "edward"  here keep
and wants smtpaddress xxxx.xxxxxxxxxx.com
