[fetchmail]Does not delete POP3 spam mail with content length of zero

2002-01-29 14:44:38
Over the last couple of weeks, I have recieved a couple of spams with
the headers copied below. Fetchmail v 5.9.6+NTLM+SPSS+NLS running under
a Debian gets what is copied below, but does not delete the email from
the POP3 server and does not get subsequent messages from the server.

It was pretty confusing for me until I telnetted in to the server and
discovered the email as message number 1. Unfortunately, I deleted the
message before copying the entire email (there was a body). As it was,
my local email box contained a *lot* of copies of this thing because
fetchmail was on a 1 or 2 minute schedule. :)

POP3 welcome:

+OK <3580(_dot_)1012340343(_at_)mx-2(_dot_)azc(_dot_)com>

Hope this helps someone!

Alex
