[fetchmail]fetchmail and IPCOP

2002-02-21 12:20:29
Greetings all,

I've read the FAQ's and printed out the man pages to
read through, but don't find the answer to my problem.

(I *think*)
I am a Linux newbie, so it's very
possible I did see it, and didn't know it.

If so, just point me in the right direction, please...

I've been running fetchmail for a few
weeks now, and it's been running wonderfully.

Because of these problems, I thought to
upgrade to the latest release, to no avail.

Basically, I built a firewall using IPCOP, and have
put the box with fetchmail and sendmail in the DMZ.
No matter what I try, I can't get fetchmail to get out to check mail.

Now, I know this sounds like an IPCOP problem,
but I've pretty much opened it up, wide-open.

Has anyone gotten fetchmail running behind IPCOP?
If so, can you describe your settings to me?

I did see the mention of using a socks option in the FAQ's,
but I'm too dumb to know how this early on, and didn't
see an option for it in fetchmailconf.

Any help or pointers appreciated.

Weyland
