I'm new to this list and my first message ended up in the wrong thread.
Anyway, here's my problem.
I try to use fetchmail to retrieve my emails from different pop servers but
I end up with this error.

You appear to have a problem with your local mail server.
Questions:
1) What version of fetchmail?
2) What's the configuration of fetchmail?
3) What mail server are you using (including version)?
4) Does it work for other things?
5) What error messages does it show when the above occurs?
