Dear fetchmail-friends,
I'm trying to compile fetchmail 5.9.13 (I'm actually upgrading from v5.9.6)
on Solaris 8. The version of gcc that I'm using is 2.95.2.
I've run the configure command as
./configure --prefix=/usr/local --with-ssl=/usr/local
and I've tried it both with and without the --with-included-gettext (without
success).
When I run the make, I get
$ make
expect conflicts: 2 shift/reduce
bison -y -d ./rcfile_y.y
conflicts: 2 shift/reduce
mv y.tab.c rcfile_y.c
mv -f y.tab.h rcfile_y.h

I thought that perhaps it might be confusion of the Solaris versions msgfmt
and xgettext, so I renamed the Solaris binaries so that the configure script
would find the GNU versions in /usr/local/bin. This did not help.
Any suggestions on how I could compile the current stable version of
fetchmail? [I rely on fetchmail hourly to pull my mail down to my Sun
workstation at home.]
Thanks, in advance.
