Even I faced this problem. Here is what I did to solve it...might be useful
You will need to have procmail installed
In the aliases file make some user (maybe you) an alias of root. Then in the
home directory of that user write a  .procmailrc file with rules such as ...

:0:
^Delivered-To:(_dot_)*user(_at_)domain(_dot_)com
! user

This will forward all the mails for user in the Del;ivered-To field in the
mail header to apropriate user.

To enable use of procmail (which is a LDA) either you need to have a
procmail-aware smtp server (eg Postfix)
or you can put an option mda <path>/procmail in the .fetchmailrc file. (see
man fetchmail for details).

There is also an envelope option in fetchmail but it didn't work for me.

mail's r going to root in multidrop mode.
I am using fetchmail with qmail. i have even try
