[fetchmail] compile trouble

We are using solaris 9, compiling with gcc 3.2, and using the source of 
fetchmail-6.1.2, which was gotton from 
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/system/mail/pop/fetchmail-6.1.2.tar.gz
configure looks fine.
we get the following error on make:

mv: cannot access y.tab.c
