I'd suggest you upgrade to at least the latest "gold" version, if not the
latest version.

UIDL ? is it .fetchmailrc ? sorry i dont know what exactly it is :-(
See line 4 of your file. You need to have a different file for each user.
Try putting the following in each file:
set idfile <path to home>/.fetchmailids
Create those files as the users concerned and give them permissions 0600.
