user wants fetchmail to delay before allowing another login?
Read FAQ items G3 and G4 first.
Check in the fetchmail logs if a login immediately after a logout has
consistently lead to a socket error. If the behaviour is not
consistent, it is unlikely that adding a delay will actually improve
the situation.
Then, stop all the fetchmails polling that server. Try logging in
through telnet with different delays. Find out what is the approximate
minimum delay required by the server.
Then, send the necessary diagnostics to show that adding a delay will
help solve the problem.
