[fetchmail] Problem with sticky message

I have a problem with fetchmail repeatedly trying to deliver a particular
(spam) and failing.  This means I get a message reported each time the
fetchmail daemon runs, and the message stays stuck in my POP mailbox.

I've made a stab at doing things the proper way: I attach the following

 - my .fetchmailrc file (with password field removed)
 - the result of a run with the command
        fetchmail -d0 -v -v
 - the complaint message received from fetchmail

Any thoughts?  In particular, how do I clear this problem from my system?!
