Was this changed any time between 6.0 und 6.2? I really feel it
_should_ cause the logfile option to be ignored (excellent for
debugging, when I want to see what's going on), but 6.2 seems to not
do this any more.

indication of it in the logs.
Sorry, you are right. I found out that the logfile option is only
ignored if I have the "set daemon" option in the logfile. Ok, 'nodetach'
only makes sense with it, but I felt -N was nice to make fetchmail log
to the console. Deleting/recreating the logfile each time is a little
bit painfull. This is more "unexpected behavior" than a bug, but I think
it should be changed. Would you accept a patch for it?
