[fetchmail] incorrect headers...

2003-04-26 11:56:45
I'm having problems getting my email with fetchmail 6.2.2. Some mails
have incorrect headers, and fetchmail kept them on the server.

Using my favorite email client, or mutt with imap connection directly to
my mailbox on ISP server, I've checked these mails. It appears that
subjects containing characters with accents break the header parsing:
  - the subject stops with the last correct character
  - the body start with a character sequence describing the accentuated
    letter.

I don't know if the emails are corrupted before arriving in my mailbox,
before or after fetching. I think most of the corrupted emails come from
the same mailing-list.

I'm using my own 6.2.2 release, compiled with only --prefix option. My
Linux distro is a Mandrake 9.1, with French settings.

I've also tried to fetch from my other linux box, RedHat 7.3 with
redhat-supplied fetchmail 5.9.0. 5.9.0 release does not complain about
incorrect headers.

Any help would be great. I've read that some other people have such a
problem.

Laurent.
