configure by default does not include ssl support. STLS is not an
issue there. To check if the patches are needed, try running it as:
configure --with-ssl
I have tested the patches. Before it, an exit status of 15 was
randomly happening. I believe this happens when SSL_connect() returns
any value other than 1 or -1.
