[fetchmail] fetchmail: header problems

2003-07-28 04:43:39
Hi,
I am using fetchmail and qmail for dwnloading mails from my ISP account
for one of my senior's accounts.
But the mails are not getting delivered and bounced to wrong people.
I asked the qmail list about this and they pointed out the following.
I also went thru' fetchmail manual but could find the exact solution.
I am also including my error message and configuration file below.
Please check them for me.

The message from qmail list is,

| Fetchmail is assuming the envelope is recorded in the 'To:' line:

| To: pcipl(_at_)giaspn01(_dot_)vsnl(_dot_)net(_dot_)in

| But, that's forgable: any MTA/MUA can create/change that line.

| I note your installation is using qmail, so it did record a
| Delivered-To line.

| Delivered-To: shanky123(_dot_)pn1(_at_)pn123(_dot_)vsnl(_dot_)net(_dot_)in

| However, that's not a standard RFC822 header, so you have to tell
| fetchmail to also consider this header. See that manpage for
| details.

My config files are given below.
Thanks a lot in advance and bye.
With warm regards,
-Payal

# cat /etc/ppp/ip-up.local
#!/bin/sh
sleep 5
/usr/bin/fetchmail -f /root/.fetchmailrc

To be safe my locals file is,

# cat /var/qmail/control/locals
linux
localhost
localhost.localdomain
localhost.linux
linux.local

# cat /root/.fetchmailrc
# cat .fetchmailrc
set postmaster "postmaster"
set nobouncemail
set nospambounce
set properties ""
poll giaspn01.vsnl.net.in with proto POP3
user shanky123 with password xxxx is shanky123 here
forcecr to * here

Bounce Message is,
