Still trying to get help on my original issue that I posted about before.
But I didn't see any answers come through. How do I set fetchmail so no
matter whether or not a message can be delivered locally, it still wipes it
off the server. Or isn't this possible in fetchmail?
Ignoring the fact that it's only been 2 days and that you didn't provide us
with any details as to what version of fetchmail you're using (or anything
else useful)...
Fetchmail, like any good mail transfer system, is designed to not lose
email. The malformed headers issue, if you look at the archive, is being
worked upon. Misaddressed email you can resolve by using the "no bounce"
option, sending copies to the postmaster.
You could try the nokeep and flush options.
You may also want to look at Popclean (http://www.klaverstijn.nl/popclean)
which could probably be modified to do what you want, if it can't already.
Just remember, that if you suddenly discover you're losing email that you
want, don't blame anybody else. You're the one who's decided to just delete
email...
Please DO NOT send me ANY email directly unless it's a privacy issue.
Reply-to mangled to assist those who don't read the above.
