Fetchmail isn't returning any errors; as I said, it works fine...
If it's not running in daemon mode then something isn't working. What do
you get if you try running it on the command line? What if you do it as
separate commands (ie an su to the account and then calling fetchmail)?
Which "system's logs" are you referring to?
/var/log/mail<whatever>.
