Time for an update on getting fetchmail development going again.
Things have gone a little bit slower than I predicted last week, mainly
because ESR was interested enough in making this work that I was able to
work with him to get his full fetchmail development directory, including
RCS history and his post-6.2.5 changes.
I've created a project at berlios.de, and two mailing lists
(fetchmail-users and fetchmail-devel) will come online there soon.
Currently the project admins there are me, ESR, and Graham Wilson (I want
to keep things from being dependent on a single person). We can also add
people for certain tasks (for example, documentation only) if they
register at berlios.
I'm planning to spend a day or so looking through the 2.5MB tarball ESR
gave me, and working out how best to put it into the Subversion repository
at Berlios. After it's in there, we can look at the current state and see
if anything is needed before a 6.2.6 release. Eric would like to work
with us on announcing the transition when we do the 6.2.6 release.
