Hello all,
Every so often, mail seems to be getting "stuck" on the AOL (America Online)
server using their IMAP retrieval service. Fetchmail will just hang after
this printout:
$ fetchmail --all --flush -v
fetchmail: IMAP< A0005 OK FETCH command completed
fetchmail: IMAP> A0006 FETCH 1 RFC822.HEADER
fetchmail: IMAP< * 1 FETCH (RFC822.HEADER {970}
reading message
mooo82220(_at_)imap(_dot_)imap-r(_dot_)rotors(_dot_)cs(_dot_)com:1 of 109 (970
header
octets)
#
fetchmail: IMAP< )
fetchmail: IMAP< A0006 OK FETCH completed
fetchmail: IMAP> A0007 FETCH 1 BODY.PEEK[TEXT]
....just hangs right here
another example:
#
fetchmail: IMAP< )
fetchmail: IMAP< A0006 OK FETCH completed
fetchmail: IMAP> A0007 FETCH 1 BODY.PEEK[TEXT]
fetchmail: IMAP< * 1 FETCH (BODY[TEXT]
"ztK/8bLZYGBgYGBgYGBgYMCsu/jTyrzEoaINCg==")
(40 body octets) *
...just hangs here
once I manually go in and delete the message, the rest of the mail gets
downloaded without a problem. This happens about every 10 days or so, and I
cannot figure out why. I have searched, but not found any suggestions on a
work-around or fix.
I had the same thing with my ISP, when they switched mail to Yahoo,
though it appears to be OK now. There was some discussion here on this,
about a week ago.
