Start with /etc/resolv.conf. That'll give you the IPs of the DNS
servers you're using.
Its a simple setup, here is my fetchmail.rc:
defaults
set postmaster cpollock
set nobouncemail
set daemon 120
set syslog
poll pop.earthlink.net proto pop3
username "cpollock" password "*********" is cpollock here
The whole setup is fetchmail > procmail > Kmail (using imap folders)
I have no problems other than when I'm sending spam reports, thats when the
errors show up.
Well, all your setup does is pull the mail from eathlink and pass it
to your localhost. The version of fetchmail and output of "fetchmail
-v -v" showing a problem run would be useful.
