Just what does "Just declare 8-bit mailers more functional." really
mean?
It is entirely clear to me that this means that non-8-bit MTAs and UAs
are "simply declared broken". It is just a "politically correct" way
of saying it.
It is like telling a programmer that he has a nice window-free office,
vice calling it windowless. Or calling "girls" "pre-women". It might
change the image of the idea, but it does not change the substance in
any useful way.
Nuff said. This should not be allowed to divert the RFC-XXX effort
from going to completion in Nov IETF.
