It was proposed 6 months ago - at least in my proposal but I think 
in others too. My proposal was exactly like the one proposed here 
- only without the pipeline chars.

I personally feel that if we have no way of describing something like:
kindofdata -> compress -> base64  RFC-XXXX won't be succesful.
