could you explain, please?
I looked over RFC 1345, and could find only character set names,
which are parameters of the text/plain type, not subtypes.

I have no problems (or few) with having reasonably rich character
sets for character set names.

OK, I may have had it wrongly, I had not the distinction between 
subtypes and other parameters in mind. Without having
a distinct memory of all terms in RFC 1341 ,I falsely
assumed that a charset spec was a 'subtype' .
