Re: printable multibyte encodings1992-12-16 10:32:51Perhaps I'm being dense, but it seems to me that any 16-bit (or 32-bit, or 128-bit, or whatever) characters can be (and typically are) represented as 8-bit octets in a canonical order. At that point, they can be represented in MIME using either base64 or quoted-printable in a straightforward manner. Why do we need anything special here? -- Nathaniel
